Circo Restaurant, Intercontinental Hotel, Abu Dhabi

We held our latest event at Circo, another Abu Dhabi newcomer, having opened their doors towards the end of last year. With locations in New York and Las Vegas, Circo offers signature Tuscan dishes, with authentic recipes passed down through the generations of the Maccioni family who founded the restaurant. The dishes are served in a lively, sophisticated setting, reminiscent of the old-style European circus tents, which inspired the restaurant’s name.

After a welcome glass of Valdo Prosecco Edizioni Oro DOC 2013, and a selection of delicious canapés, we took our seats, while Restaurant Manager Gianluca Maglianella gave us a history of the restaurant group, and a description of the wines. Then followed a description of the meal to come, from the restaurant’s Executive Chef, Luca Banfi.
We were treated to a wonderfully varied, delicious and visually exciting menu. Before the ‘SECONDI’ course, we were delighted with the ‘INTERMEZZO’, which was Sgroppino made from lemon sorbet, Prosecco and vodka.

Towards the end of the evening, members and guests showed their appreciation to the management, kitchen and service brigades for truly excellent service, and especially for their wonderful enthusiasm in making this a memorable event.
We were also delighted to welcome as our guests, Anthony Syrowatka, Bailli of Ubud, Bali, and his wife Dewi.
