Dinner Appreciation: “Social by Heinz Beck” @ Waldorf Astoria, Dubai

In September, the Chaine took us back to “Social by Heinz Beck” @ Waldorf Astoria, The Palm Jumeirah which we last visited 4 years back. It was an exciting night enjoyed by all members and guests.

We started the night with a reception at Serafina bar where guests were welcomed by Zonin Prosecco Brut from Italy and mouth watering Canapés. Live music by the resident singer and saxophonist added a perfect ambiance to the beginning of a lovely evening.

2018, Sep 24 – Social by Heinz Beck
Mr. Nick Kramer, Missions Legal, welcomed everyone and announced the start of the night by a salute to the Rulers of Dubai & the UAE. Executive Chef Sandro Falbo welcomed everyone to the restaurant and then Chef Francesco Acquaviva took us through the menu and how he designed it for the night while Marvin Brinkmann, the Assistant Beverage Manager took us through the wine selection. We were all excited to start the night and had high expectations for the diner.

Mr. Christopher Ingles concluded the evening by an appreciation to thank the service and kitchen teams for executing such an excellent event of high standard food, wine and service.

The Canapés, Fois Gras, Mushroom Tortellini with Black Truffle, the beautifully executed Duck breast, the delicate pre-dessert and beautiful desserts were all cooked to perfection.
The wine selection matched perfectly with each course and the Indian dessert wine was a pleasant conclusion for the night.
The team made all the effort to accommodate our last minute requirements, their attention to details and catering for all the dietary requirements was much appreciated by all. Not to mention offering cakes for our 3 birthday guests, that was really a nice gesture.
Our complements to the kitchen brigade who executed the highest standard in each dish for all 57 guests.
The service brigades performed impeccably, they were well informed and attentive to all the details. They were complimented by all guests and received a lot of positive feedback.

And finally special thanks to the hotel GM for sponsoring the prizes for our small competitions that took place during the dessert, it was fun and a nice surprise at the end of the evening.
