Hakkasan, Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi held its first event of the year in the multi-award winning Hakkasan restaurant, situated in the spectacular Emirates Palace Hotel. Hakkasan specializes in modern Cantonese cuisine, and General Manager, Ivano Guastella along with Executive Chef de Cuisine, Lee Kok Hua, certainly gave us a wonderful evening.
In pleasantly cool temperatures, guests were welcomed with a glass of Champagne Devaux “Ultra D”, while enjoying the ambience of the terrace with its views of the city skyline. As a canapé, guests enjoyed delicious nut and mushroom lettuce boats.
General Manager Ivano gave us a description of the menu to come, and Professionnel du Vin, Sandeep Babu, described the accompanying wines. (please see menu card attached)
Served in the ‘sharing’ table concept, the murmurs of delight around the tables left no doubt that the meal was indeed something special.
At the conclusion of the dinner, Echanson Thomas Ulherr gave the appreciation in front of the assembled kitchen and service brigades, and the members showed their enthusiasm with loud applause.
From the comments of the members, as the evening came to a close, a return visit by the Chaîne to Hakkasan is certainly expected.
