Trader Vic’s, Beach Rotana Hotel, Abu Dhabi

The Bailliage of the UAE held its 22nd annual summer luncheon, continuing our long standing tradition with Trader Vic’s in Abu Dhabi.
General Manager Nicolas Rey and his staff pulled out all the stops to make this another memorable event.
We were welcomed with traditional Trader Vic’s cocktails, with a choice of 1944 MaiTai, or an Eastern Sour.
Before lunch commenced, we held a little surprise competition, courtesy of our Echanson, Thomas Ulherr, where members and guests had to identify the ingredients of a small ‘appetiser’. Animated conversation ensued as numerous opinions were voiced around the tables.
Chef Jimmy Sek again did not disappoint, with a superbly crafted and delicious lunch.

As lunchtime ran into late afternoon, and we enjoyed the house Spiced Rum with our coffee, the winners of the competition were announced, and the kitchen, the service brigades, and the management, were thanked enthusiastically, for making our event a wonderful experience.
