Unification of UAE Bailliages

Over a hundred members and guests attended the UAE National Enthronization Gala reception and dinner where Ian Fairservice, Baillie Délégué and member of the Conseil d’Administration, announced the official formation of the UAE National Bailliage.

The UAE Bailliage, numbering 252 members, was formed in April 2014, combining the National Bailliages of Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Dubai, originally formed in 1981 and now reflecting the Federation of the Emirates.

The new National Council, comprising existing members from previous Bailliages, was introduced. Ian Fairservice thanked the outgoing council members for their service, in particular Jeremy Weeks, previously Bailli Délégué in Abu Dhabi and Steve Jackson, former Bailli Délégué of Al Ain.

Members were informed that they would be invited to attend all future events held across the UAE and that an exciting joint programme would be developed.

In Abu Dhabi, on 17th April, a seven-course dinner was prepared under the watchful eye of Executive Chef Daniel Nuss, at the St. Regis Saadiyat Island in Abu Dhabi.

The following enthronization in Dubai on 19th April was held at Atlantis, The Palm, where guests enjoyed Perrier Jouët with cold and hot canapés outdoors before enjoying an East meets West themed dinner.

Both events were presided over by Günter Albert from the Conseil d’Administration and also attended by Klaus Tritschler, Bailli Délégué of Germany and member of the Conseil d’Administration.
