Saturday April 13, 2019
World Chaîne Day 2019 is tomorrow Saturday, April 13th, that’s why we are celebrating that by having our grand Gala dinner and Enthronization tomorrow.
As part of the celebration Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Paris HQ is organizing a photo competition.
Participation will be through photos posted on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. It is important to mark the pictures with these hashtags: #chaineday, #worldchaineday, #chainedesrotisseurs. This ensures that the Jury will be able to select potentially winning photos from the social media feed. NB. If you are not using social media you can still participate by e-mailing your photos to: firstname.lastname@example.org
The best three photos will be selected and awarded with certificates. Additionally, special recognition will be given to the:
– best food photo
– most joyful view
– best photo showing one or more Chaîne professionals at work
In 2019 a special theme will be the creative use of the Chaîne logo. Best images for this will also be awarded.
Winners in the respective categories will be published as soon as possible after World Chaîne Day once the Jury has gone through all the material and has been able to certify the origin of the photos.
Diplomas will be presented in person to all those attending the International AGM in Paris in June. Others will be sent to the Bailliage for onward distribution.
The bar is being raised higher and higher, not only with the number of photos being received but also with the quality. We are sure this year we will again beat last year’s significant increase!
Special category for creative use of the Chaîne logo
Anywhere in the world, the most emblematic and recognizable part of the Chaîne is the association’s logo. It draws us into fellowship, binds us together in our pursuit of the fine art of gastronomy. The logo, in red, blue and gold, has multiple significant meanings to us at the Chaîne.
This is an opportunity for members to use the Chaîne logo in the international photography competition on World Chaîne Day, celebrated in Bailliages around the world on April. 13th.
Do you see it in the arrangement of food by our talented professional chefs?
In the special décor at your WCD event?
Or in the colours of the clothes worn by our members?
In the colours of nature around the event?
Subtle or dominant?
Playful or meaningful?
Put on your thinking caps and conjure up a way to creatively incorporate the Chaîne logo into your photos submitted for the World Chaîne Day 2019 Photo Competition.
You might be the lucky winner of this special newly-introduced category.
